Dacoits rob passengers of Shirdi - Hyd bus Zaheerabad: Dacoits decamped with 16.5 tolas of gold jewellery and Rs 22,100 from the State passengers after waylaying a ShirdiHyderabad super luxury bus at Jamkhed, in Ahmednagar district (Maharashtra) late on Saturday.
A woman sustained serious injuries after offering resistance. A sum of Rs 16,000 was snatched from the passengers and Rs 6,100 from the conductor.
According to the passengers, the brigands snatched jewellery and cash after barging into the vehicle and grabbing keys from the driver. They intercepted the bus chasing on motorcycles for some distance.
Some threatened the passengers with knives. The dacoits conversed in Hindi. Officials of APSRTC brought the passengers here and provided food to them.
