Samaikya Vedika to meet on sunday HYDERABAD: Samaikya Rashtra Parirakshana Vedika will decide its future course of action at a meeting to be held at APNGOs Bhavan here on November 24.
The Vedika had already decided to organise Occupy Hyderabad or Million March in Hyderabad and the form of further agitation would be decided on November 24, APNGOs president P Ashok Babu told reporters here on Tuesday.
He said that APNGOs were also contemplating to go on strike again if Telangana bill came up for debate in the state legislative Assembly. He hoped that the people of Seemandhra would support them to keep the state united.
Ashok Babu said the 11 terms of reference given to the Group of Ministers (GoM) were not acceptable to both the regions and unanimity was not possible on the 11 issues. On the first issue of boundaries there was already a tussle between Andhra and Telangana over Bhadrachalam, he said.
The Centre's contention that the division process was almost complete was just a mind game and the way the division was taking place could be challenged in the Supreme Court. 'The way the division process was initiated was against the Constitution,' he claimed.
The employees' leader criticised Seemandhra Union ministers for demanding a package of benefits for Seemandhra instead of state's unity.
'We will bring pressure on Congress MLAs and ministers who are acting as per the Congress high command's diktat on division. If they are unable to oppose and thwart division, let them stay in Delhi. We will carry on the fight here. But they should not, at least, demand packages,' he said.
