Naidu invites youth to join politics HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam president Nara Chandrababu Naidu has called upon the youth to be part of political process and cleanse the political system of the country.
Speaking to mediapersons after interacting with IT professionals at Cyber Towers at Madhapur here on Friday, he said that more and more youth should join politics and try to make the field more transparent and peoples-friendly.
'We need young people who could bring about a change in the country and take the country to the next level of development,' he said.
Going down the memory lane, he said, 'Cyber Towers was inaugurated on this day 16 years ago and today when I look back I feel happy that I was able to do something for the people of the state, especially the youth.
To make Hyderabad an Information Technology (IT )hub 16 years ago I started inviting IT companies to Hyderabad and today we have all the big companies here.
'Had the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government not lost the election in 2004, Hyderabad would have become number one IT state in the country. The Congress government has ruined the IT sector and taken the state 10 years behind. If the state has to progress, the Congress government has to be thrown out of power.'
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief had planned to spend only 20 minutes with IT professionals but spent more than two hours thanks to the good response he received from them.
