Harish Rao accuses CM of looting Hyderabad lands Hyderabad, Nov 23 (INN): Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA T Harish Rao on Saturday announced that a high-level probe would be ordered after the formation of Telangana State against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and other capatalists from Seemandhra region who acquired lands worth thousands of crores through illegal means.
Speaking to reporters here, Harish Rao alleged that land worth over Rs 8,000 crore have been allotted to different Seemandhra capitalists by the Chief Minister through dubious means. Most of the transactions were done in Benami names.
He said that lands, illegally acquired by the Seemandhra capitalists, belongs to temples and grave yards and some were assigned lands. He said that the services of MROs from Seemandhra region were utilised to acquire lands in and around Hyderabad.
Harish Rao said that a prime government land on the old Mumbai Highway has been given to one Seemandhra capitalist and it has been named as "Naga Hills". Accusing the Chief Minister of shielding the land sharks, he alleged that the resources and lands of Telangana were being looted in a planned manner.
The TRS MLA also alleged that RDO posts in Hyderabad were auctioned for Rs 50-60 lakh.
Demanding that the State Government issue a White Paper on allocation of government lands to private persons and encroachments, Harish Rao announced that the Telangana Government would order a high-level probe against these allocations.
