Ramireddy's men block Renuka's convoy KHAMMAM: Tension prevailed at Tekulapalli when minister Ramireddy Venkata Reddy's followers tried to obstruct the convoy of MP Renuka Chowdary who was touring the district as part of Bhadrachalm Parirakshna Yatra.
While the MP was about to enter the village, some of the followers of minister Ramireddy tried tied to obstruct her convoy. However, the police managed to clear the way for Renuka Chowdary.
Addressing a meeting, the MP said that some leaders were trying to attack her and playing cheap tricks. She also visited the Tekulapalli police station and demanded the cops to take severe action against those who tried to assault her in the morning.
Later, Ramireddy's followers staged a rasta-roko in front of the police station demanding that action be taken against Renuka Chowdary for abusing tribal sarpanch Punem Surender. Meanwhile, some Telanagana activists threw eggs on Renuka Chowdary's convoy at Karepalli village.
