Court allows Jagan to visit Chennai Wednesday HYDERABAD: The special CBI court allowed YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy to visit Chennai on December 4. The court had earlier allowed him to visit Chennai between November 26 and 29, but since Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa did not give him appointment, he cancelled the visit.
Now that he was given appointment on December 4, Jagan filed a petition afresh on November 30 seeking permission to visit Chennai.
Jagan has been meeting political party leaders to garner support to oppose the decision of the Centre to bifurcate the state and as part of the initiative he will be meeting Jayalalithaa.
Earlier, he had met Odisha chief minister and Biju Janata Dal leader Naveen Patnaik, Nationalist Congress Party leader and Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar, West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee, and others.
