Visakha, Anantapur, Chittoor ITIRs Soon HYDERABAD: The proposals for developing Information Technology Investment Regions (ITIR) in Visakha, Anantapur and Chittoor districts are with the Union Cabinet and will be approved soon.
As for Hyderabad ITIR project, it will be carried out in two phases and the work is underway, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, information technology and communications minister said on Monday. Besides, the state government is carrying out one of the massive housing projects in the country to provide affordable housing to every citizen.
'Urbanisation is the order of the day. Today, urbanisation in the country stands only at 30 per cent. In the next 15 years, it will reach 74 per cent,' he said at the release of a brochure for the national conclave of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Association of India (CREDAI) in New Delhi.
According to the ministry of urban housing and poverty alleviation, every year about 3.5 million housing units needed to be added to provide housing to everyone in the country, said C Shekar Reddy, CREDAI president.
