Rayala Telangana undemocratic: Ashok Babu HYDERABAD: Reiterating his demand that the Centre should keep the state united, APNGOs president P Ashok Babu has said that the Rayala Telangana proposal was made only to insult the Telangana agitators. Speaking to newsmen at the Secretariat here, Ashok Babu rejected the proposal outright and wanted the state be united.
'The Rayala Telangana proposal was made only to derive political mileage. The separatists who supported the Congress should now oppose the same. This is a clear indication that if the Central government was given a free hand to divide the state, then it will come out with such proposals,' Ashok Babu said.
He demanded that any proposal on the division of the state should first come to the Assembly and it should be debated thoroughly in the Assembly. 'The decision of Rayala Telangana is undemocratic and unscientific,' he added.
'The separatists praised All India Congress Committee president Sonia Gandhi to the skies and vowed to construct a temple for her. Why are they not accepting the Rayala Telangana proposal now?,' he wondered.
