Kavuri terms approval of T-bill hasty HYDERABAD: Sticking to his demand for making Hyderabad a Union Territory, Union textiles minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao took exception to pushing the Telangana bill in a hasty manner.
According to sources, Kavuri, speaking after home minister Susheel Kumar Shinde during the Cabinet meeting, stressed the need for making Hyderabad a UT to ensure security of Seemandhra people living in Hyderabad.
Sources said when Kavuri spoke in favour of clubbing Anantapur and Kurnool with Telangana, it was vehemently opposed by Jaipal Reddy, Molily, Jairam Ramesh and Kishore Chandra Deo.
Deo felt there was no need for making Hyderabad a common capital for 10 long years. He also demanded a change in the design of Polavaram project and opposed including Bhadrachalam in the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh.
