14 Welcome Gates are planned for Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec 7 (INN): GHMC Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain and Commissioner Somesh Kumar informed that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is planning to develop 14 welcome gates with a cost of around Rs. 1 crore each.

The Welcome Gates would be developed at NH-7 Kurnool Road, Srisailam Road, Sagar Road, Vijayawada Road, Uppal - Warangal Road, Keesara Road, Dammaiguda X Road, Alwal - Rajeev Rahadari Road, NH7 - Medchal - Kompally Road, Jeedimetla - Narsapur Road, Ramchandrapuram - Patancheru Road, Express Way- Nanakramguda Road, Osman Sagar Road and Himayath Sagar Road.

There will be concept items at each entry like signage indicating commencement of GHMC Border, footpath for 1KM inside, beautiful divider provision, landscaping/ Greenery development upto 1KM before hakl kilometre on Median and Shoulders, BT Re-carpeting upto 1KM, if necessary; road marking paint and street lighting.

The General Observations On-site will be 200 ft. wide roads ' (9 Nos) and 100 Ft. wide roads (4 Nos).

The Signage Design will provide Gantry/ Portal Frame across the road, wherever possible or providing of Cantilever Signage Structure for 4 Meter Span on both sides of road or providing of Butterfly Cantilever Structure in the Central Median or signages can also be wall mounted with Thematic on Shoulder.

Further, Advance Direction Signage before approach of Gateway from about 200 Mts. ahead would be provided and Advance Direction Signage upto 1KM in the City after Gantry with information will be continued. There will be signages with City Thematic information on Shoulders, indicating City's Importance/ Significance.

There will be continuous footpath with special colorized flooring and it will have curbing with precast beautiful CC Blocks.

The GHMC also propose beautiful perennial greenery plants on shoulders, flowering plants in the Median and adjoining Footpath, providing of fountains at 2 or 3 places in 1KM span and providing City's Thematic displays along the 1KM corridor.

Where the road is not good, it can be re-carpeted with BT. There will be road marking paint on both carriage ways for central line, divider line, broken lines, edge lines and zebra crossings wherever required. There will also be night reflectors with solar studs along the road upto 1KM for automatic sparkle during night.

It is proposed to have modern street lighting on Shoulders in Central Median and special lighting for pedestrian walk way with lower height.
