What KCR has done for Telangana?: Naidu HYDERABAD: Reacting sharply to TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao's criticism on him on the state bifurcation issue, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu accused KCR of adopting 'blackmailing tactics' and destroying Telangana region for selfish gains.
Speaking to reporters at his residence here on Tuesday, Chandrababu Naidu, who lost his cool during the press conference, said: 'Who is KCR? What has he done for Telangana? What is his stature? What is his contribution to the development of the state? He has no character'.
Letting loose his anger on the KCR, the TDP chief roared saying 'Let him tell the people of the Telangana region what has he done for them. He just sleeps in his farmhouse and whenever he comes out he speaks rubbish and targets TDP.
He talks about reconstruction of Telangana state which he had destroyed for his selfish motives. He only knows blackmailing tactics and fulfil his selfish goals and nothing else.'
He claimed what Hyderabad is today is because of his government's effort and foresightedness and not because of Congress or the TRS.
'If anyone has the right to talk about Telangana's development it is the TDP. All the projects functioning in the region were developed during TDP period and the infrastructure what we are seeing in the region whether it is roads, power, health, education or irrigation was developed during that period,'' he said.
'KCR goes to Delhi to fix things for himself, where as I fight with the Centre for the rights of the state. He was the Union minister in the UPA government but what has he done for the region. I am working for the welfare of the people of Telangana and I am being called 'betrayer', he said.
'Congress has joined hands with blackmailer KCR and corruption king Jagan and were targeting the TDP. They are provoking the people of both the regions for votes and seats,'' he alleged.
'KCR and Jagan are targeting me and time has come to give it back. Now I will not keep quite and expose them. Let's have a debate on 'who is who, what is what and who has done what'. I will take this issue to the public and tell them the truth,'' he remarked.
