Bifurcation not possible before polls: Naidu HYDERABAD: Despite the vigorous activity on the Telangana Bill, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu believes that the UPA government is not sincere in completing the process of bifurcation before 2014 general polls.
Naidu, who has of late raised his voice against the T-Bill, felt that the chances of tabling the Bill in the Parliament before general elections were remote.
In an informal chat with reporters at TD Legislature Party office here on Thursday, he expressed doubts on the commitment of the UPA government as well as the Congress high command in delivering the T-state before the ensuing general polls.
'There was less possibility of T-Bill being introduced in the current winter session of the Parliament. Efforts were being made by the Congress to see that Parliament does not function and the T-Bill is halted till 2014 general elections,' he alleged.
The Centre would go for Vote on Account in January and the general elections would be held in April or March so there was less possibility that the T-Bill would be introduced in the Parliament before general elections, he said.
'The Congress was trying to trap me on Telangana issue with various moves but I would not give in to their plans and they would be trapped in their own game,' he remarked.
Replying to a question, Naidu said that Congress would not dissolve the Lok Sabha and go for early elections. 'I don't think that Congress would dissolve the Lok Sabha as it would not be of any use to it. They would try to complete the full term and try to take advantage of the situation,' he observed.
Taking exception to TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao's personal remarks against him, the TDP chief alleged that KCR was making wild allegations against him. 'How long should I keep quite and suffer. Now time has come to give it back. If he (KCR) does not stop making allegations then I will also start attacking and exposing him,' he warned.
