Netizens from Seemandhra slam Kiran HYDERABAD: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who had championed the cause of Samaikyandhra and vowed to derail the T process, found himself at the receiving end of the stick, particularly on social networking sites, on Tuesday.
Samaikyandhra votaries, both online and offline, fumed at his 'submissive' attitude and were particularly miffed with him for skipping the Assembly session on Monday when the T bill was tabled in the House. His low-profile participation in the BAC meeting proved to be the last straw, it seems.
Though he could not attend the session on Monday owing to food poisoning, netizens from Seemandhra just didn't buy it. They posted comments on Facebook questioning the 'real reason' behind his absence.
For instance, a post read, Hammo Kiran Kumar Reddy.. Intha Bhayankarmaina Naatakaanni Nadipinchaara? Inthala Seemandhra Prajalanu Mabbulo pettara?' (Oh Kiran! Has he staged such a dubious drama? Has he hoodwinked the people in such a manner?).
Another user commented, 'Seemandhra people are orphaned, thanks to Kiran Kumar Reddy.' The Chief Minister also came under fire from the YSRC and the TDP which was expected. YSRC honorary president YS Vijayamma mocked at him.
'Why did the Chief Minister, who had vowed to stall the T storm, skip the Assembly session on a crucial day when the T bill was introduced in the House? What has prompted the Seemandhra Simham to lay down his arms?' she taunted.
Her party MLA Shobha Nagi Reddy said Kiran Reddy, who had vowed to obstruct the T Bill in the Assembly, had run away from his responsibility. TDP's Muddukrishnama Naidu said, 'The CM claimed that though he could not prevent the cyclone, he could stall the T cyclone. It is now clear the talk of his fight is a drama. Kiran has cheated the people.'
