TDP will be wiped out from Telangana, says KCR HYDERABAD: 'No one can stop formation of Telangana and we will not accept Andhra parties in the separate state,' said TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Addrssing a gathering after inducting Jukkal TDP MLA Hanumanth Shinde at Telangana Bhavan, the TRS chief predicted that Telugu Desam would be wiped out from Telangana once the new state is formed.
Before the bifurcation of Bihar, Lalu Prasad's party was very strong in Jharkhand region. But, after separate Jharkhand state was formed, his party failed to get even a single seat in the Assembly, the TRS chief said and added that Andhra parties would face a similar fate in separate Telangana.
On the proposals presented by Hanumanth Shinde on irrigation projects in Nizamabad district, Rao said he would accord top priority to Lendi project which would bring around 35,000 acres under irrigation.
'I am keen on laying foundation stones for Lendi and other projects in Nizamabad district in separate Telangana state,' he said.
He called upon all the Telangana TDP leaders to follow Hanumanth Shinde and join the Telangana movement. Asserting that formation of T-state was certain, Rao said Telangana people never wanted water or properties from Seemandhra.
'The Telangana movement is not to grab water of Guntur, or properties. We want water for our projects like Lendi, and also self-rule,' he said.
No politician in Andhra?
The TRS president wondered whether there are no politicians in Seemandhra region. The Seemandhra leaders failed to seek projects or other benefits for their region. Instead, they are fighting for United AP.
'The Seemandhra leaders enacting a drama in the guise of Samaikya movement,' Rao said. However, depsite the United AP agitation, there is no threat to the Telangana movement and no one could stop the formation of T-state. TRS MLA E Rajender, Hanumanth Shinde and several other leaders were present.
