Resignations will not help, says Kavuri ELURU: Union minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao who is being obstructed by Samaikyandhra activists in the past a few days, has he would resign to his post only if people want him to, but not when some so-called leaders demand. He said he can do a better service to people by remaining in the post, instead of resigning during this crisis.
Speaking to reporters at Pedavegi in East Godavari district Sunday, Sambasiva Rao said resignation by Seemandhra MPs would not stall bifurcation of the state.
He reinterated that all Seemandhra Parliament members are committed to fight for united Andhra Pradesh and they can achieve this only by staying in power.
'If we resign, Telangana leaders would take advantage of the situation and there is all possibility that injustice is meted out to us. We would not only be able to stop bifurcation, but in case of division, we can ensure justice to our region,' he added.
The minister felt his resignation might result in a one-sided decision in favour of Telangana. 'Further, leaders from other parties have no right to demand my resignation. I would resign only when public ask me,' he said.
