APNGO polls won't affect samaikya stir SRIKAKULAM: The elections to APNGOs' Association would not have any impact on Samaikyandhra agitation, its president P Ashok Babu has reiterated. He also exuded confidence that his panel would win the election again and take forward the movement.
After attending a meet with the district leaders of the Association Wednesday, ahead of the polls next week, Ashok Babu said that the APNGOs will continue to fight, notwithstanding the outcome of the election and the winning panel. The separatists were trying to weaken the Samaikyandhra agitation by bringing division in the cadre, which however would be a vain attempt, he said.
The Association leaders decided to meet MLAs and other elected representatives to make them sign affidavits against bifurcation and send it to the President of India. Of the total effort required to stop bifurcation, the NGOs contributed up to 85 per cent and now it was the turn of the political parties to put it the remaining 15 per cent of effort, he opined.
