CM wanted me out of Cabinet: Ramachandraiah KADAPA: Endowments minister C Ramachandraiah stirred a controversy by claiming that chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy tried to fire him from the state cabinet after dismissing DL Ravindra Reddy.
The minister also found fault with the TTD Board for taking a lion's share of the VIP passes for New Year darshans. Ramachandraiah, who is in the district to inaugurate various programmes, spoke to the media at Mydukur and Kadpa.
'After dismissing DL Ravindra Reddy from the cabinet, the chief minister tried to remove me. But, he could not succeed due to various reasons,'' he said.
He attributed his inability to contribute for development works in the district to his rivalry with the chief minister. 'Though my fellow elected representatives from the district could get funds to the tune of `5-6 crore, I could not do the same,' said the minister. He further added that he could not get `26 crore sanctioned for taking up water supply scheme for Ontimetta mandal.
On the drinking water problem being faced by people of Rayachoti and Lakkireddypalle, the minister said they have taken up the issue with Kiran.
'The chief minister, who sanctioned a water supply scheme for his home district of Chittoor, questioned us about the availability of water,' he said. The minister said that he is helpless in the present situation.
