AP Govt constitutes 'Kuchipudi Natyaramam' Hyderabad, March 11 (INN): To give a boost to our State own Classical Dance 'Kuchipudi', the Government of Andhra Pradesh has constituted 'Kuchipudi Natyaramam', Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao said.
At a meeting with officials of Tourism and Culture Department and video conference with the Collector, Krishna District, the Chief Secretary said that, Kuchipudi Dance is one of the recognized classical dances and there is a need to promote the Dance in the International level with the co-operation of Kuchipudi Natyaramam.
The Chief Secretary has issued instructions to Krishna District Collector Ahmed Babu to identify and acquiring land to establish Kuchipudi Natyaramam in Kuchipudi of Krishna District and also suggested the concerned to circulate a file to Finance Department to get necessary permissions.
An Advisory Board will be constituted to monitor the progress of the Natyaramam, the Chief Secretary opined.
Kuchipudi Natyaramam Chairman Kuchibhotla Anand, Prl. Secretary Tourism N.K. Prasad, Consultant Shilparamam Chandana Khan and others attended the meeting.
