TS Govt to sanction new gas connections
Hyderabad, March 13 (INN): Finance Minister Etala Rajender has informed that State Government proposed to sanction new gas connections under Deepam scheme to the Below Poverty Line families across the Telangana State.
Reply to a query during Question Hour in Legislative Assembly on Friday, Etala said nearly 6.25 lakh BPL families would be covered under the scheme in 2014-15. Orders have been issued to the district administration to select beneficiaries to identify eligible women for distribution of Deepam connections. Soon after selection of the beneficiaries, the distribution process will commence, he said.
