AP Govt issues guidelines for NGOs Hyderabad, March 13 (INN): Guidelines are issued to the Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) to establish Night Shelters in all the districts of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao said.
Krishna Rao held a review meeting on 'Night Shelters, acquiring lands for the projects Irrigation, Railways and Roads and Buildings, Drinking Water, Smart Villages and Smart wards, Revenue Mandals merged in East and West Godavari districts,', through a video conference with all the district Collectors on Friday.
On reviewing the Night Shelters, guidelines are issued to the NGOs to get proposals for establishing the Night Shelters. Emergency health care service to be provided for the inmates of the shelters in all the Districts, the Chief Secretary suggested. All the Collectors have been asked to identify the places and make a visit to the shelters in regular intervals to encourage the NGOs.
Acquiring land for Irrigation Projects in Srikakulam, West Godavari, Chittoor, Kurnool and Krishna Districts are discussed. Officials from South Central Railways has attended the meeting and interacted with the Collectors through video conference and discussed on the issues pending for acquiring land and survey for nine Railway Projects in the State. Chief Secretary has directed the Guntur District Collector for issuing of a notification for acquiring land for Nadikudi-Srikalahasthi Railway line, immediately.
Providing drinking water in summer season in all the districts, on adopting of Smart Village and Smart Ward programme, issues on the Mandals of Khammam District merged in East and West Godavari Districts were reviewed. The Chief Secretary directed the concerned District Officials for extending facilities to all these merged Mandals.
Prl. Secretary Irrigation Aditya N Das, SERP CEO Salomon Arokiya Raj, Rural Development Commissioner B. Ramanjaneyulu and other officers attended the meeting.
