TS Govt to consider re-inclusion of BC castes
Hyderabad, March 14 (INN): Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna on Saturday informed the Telangana State Legislative Assembly that the State Government was considering re-inclusion of 26 castes who were earlier deleted from the Backward Classes list.
Replying to a question raised by MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao and others during Question Hour, the minister admitted that 26 castes were deleted from the BC list through GO Ms No 3 since they hailed from Seemandhra region. However, they approached the court and got a stay on the deletion to avail benefits like Financial Assistance for Students of Telangana (FAST). He said that the State Government was presently examining the matter.
