Krishna Rao reviews functioning of KADA Hyderabad, March 16 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao on Monday reviewed the development works going on under Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA).
'The Kuppam constituency will be developed through planned interventions and it will be used as a model to inspire and motivate all other constituencies to emulate the same path through a novel scheme,' said Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao.
In a periodic review held on Monday, the Chief Secretary reviewed the schemes and programmes undertaken in Kuppam. In Chittoor district - four Mandals - Kuppam, Gudupalli, Santhipuram and Ramakuppam are under jurisdiction of KADA and the key objectives of the KADA are Computerization of Government Offices, development of Agriculture, Micro and Minor Irrigation, export-oriented Industries, Infrastructure such as roads and power supply, housing to all Below Poverty Line (BPL) families, safe drinking water and development of model Hospitals.
The Chief Secretary had a detailed discussion with concerned Officers of KADA on the action taken on the Chief Minister's Assurances during visit to Kuppam in the month of February 2015. Construction of BT connectivity to un-connected habitations in Kuppam constituency, implementing of NTR Sujala Pathakam, establishing the New Divisional Office for Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi (HNSS) Project, construction of new check dams and repair works of the check dams on Palar River, construction of Junior College Buildings at Rallabuduguru, status of the Cluster Schools, Mini Market Yards and activities of the Welfare Departments in Kuppam Constituency are reviewed in the meeting.
Krishna Rao has issued instructions to the Officers of Rural Water Supply to prepare proposals for sanction of funds for drilling of Bore Wells in the Constituency to mitigate the water problem.
Special Chief Secretary Ajeya Kallam, Secretary Finance L. Premachandra Reddy, Prl. Secretary Irrigation Aditya N Das, Joint Secretary to C.M. Pradyumna, KADA Chairman and Dist. Collector Chittoor Siddarth Jain, KADA Special Officer Ch. Priyanka and other officers attended the meeting.
