TV9 YouTube Channel Shutdown
Hyderabad: Well known TV Channel TV9's YouTube account at youtube.com/user/tv9telugu is shutdown by Google on March 16th with a copyright infringement notice. TV9 YouTube Channel has thousands of Videos and a number of websites embed them.
With the channel's sudden shutdown, all of the videos stopped working causing a major damage.
It is not new to Google to shutdown well known channels without notice. It appears that Google's automated software has shutdown the channel based on some third party complaints.
Google once shut down Lady Gaga's official YouTube channel and later restored it.
On early hours of March 17th as per Indian Time, TV9's YouTube Channel greeted with a message: Tv9 Telugu has been terminated because we received multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement regarding material the user posted.
Digital media circles are expecting that Google will shortly restore the channel.
