Telangana to relax Scholarship norms Hyderabad, March 18 (INN): Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali has assured that the State Government would review and revise the conditions prescribed for the students of minority communities to avail scholarships.
Speaking to media persons at Haj House here on Wednesday, the Deputy CM admitted that some of the conditions prescribed for scholarships were difficult to fulfill by the students. Therefore, the government would review them and announce modified conditions.
With regard to the construction of new Haj House building, he said a final decision in this regard would be taken after taking public opinion. However, he said there were some reservations with regard to construction of Haj House at Pahadi Shareef. He reiterated that the assurance given by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on providing facilities to Anees-ul-Ghurba would be fulfilled. He also pointed out that the State Government had issued a GO on Tuesday night to provide Rs 9.60 crore for the construction of auditorium for Jamia Nizamia. He said that 130-year-old Jamia Nizamia was one of the most prestigious institutions of Telangana State.
The Deputy CM also assured to visit Dairatul Maarif after the end of ongoing budget session of Legislative Assembly.
