Anti Touting Squad from Railway Protection Force Hyderabad, March 19 (INN): In view of ensuing summer rush and to prevent unauthorized business of e-ticketing in twin cities and touting activities at Passenger Reservation System (PRS) centers over Secunderabad Division, Railway Protection Force (RPF) has constituted an Anti Touting Squad to come down heavily against unauthorized e-ticketing business and touting activities.
The squad has started functioning from 16th March during which three touts were arrested U/s 143 of Railways Act for booking e- tickets by creating fictitious personal IDs and doing business. In this connection, 25 E-tickets with an amount of Rs.56,677.72/- were seized. The arrested touts were produced before the IInd Metropolitan Judge, for Railways/Court, Secunderabad and remanded for seven days.
In this connection, passengers are advised not to purchase reserved tickets from unauthorised agents / touts to avoid trouble.
