Congress stages walk out over TPSC recruitments Hyderabad, March 20 (INN): The Congress party staged a walk out from the Telangana Legislative Assembly on Friday in protest when Speaker S Madhusudana Chary disallowed an adjournment motion moved by Leader of Opposition K Jana Reddy over the delay in recruitment process by the Telangana Public Service Commission.
At the end of Question Hour, the Speaker informed that he was disallowing different adjournment motions moved by Jana Reddy, BJP floor leader Dr K Lakshman, Ravindra Kumar (CPI) and Sunnam Rajaiah (CPI-M) on various issues.
Expressing his displeasure, Jana Reddy said it was wrong to disallow all the adjournment motions. He said that the State Government should discuss issues of public importance in the House and should stop avoiding debates. He said that lakhs of youth have been waiting desperately to get themselves recruited on various posts announced by the government. However, the government is not only delaying the recruitment process, but also avoiding discussion on the same, he alleged.
Responding to the allegation, Finance Minister Eatala Rajender accused Jana Reddy of wrongly blaming the TRS Government. He said it was the Congress Government which avoided debates in the House for the last 10 years. He said if the Congress party was serious, then it should seek discussion in another form. He said that the government would soon begin the recruitment process.
The minister's reply apparently angered Jana Reddy and he warned the government not to take Congress party's cooperation to the government as its weakness. He said that the Congress party has been cooperating with the TRS Government as it was new. He said that his party would not remain silent if the government fails to provide jobs to unemployed youth.
Later, Jana Reddy announced that his party MLAs was staging a walk out in protest.
