AP Govt clears hurdles for Hero Moto plant yderabad, March 23 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Government and A.P. Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) have overcome the land hurdle for establishing Hero Moto Corp in Chittoor District. In a peaceful environment the Hero Motor Corp Ltd., may start their plant at the allotted site, said Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao.
In a meeting held on Monday at his chambers, the Chief Secretary discussed and clarified the land related issues on the Land allotted to Hero Moto Corp Ltd., with representatives of Hero Motors. In a MoU the Government has agreed to allot 600 acres of Land in Chittoor District Satyavedu Mandal, Madannapalem Village for Hero Motors as the Company plans to invest around Rs 1600 Crores. In a recent Cabinet Meeting held on 20th March, has discussed on the New Industrial Policy and took a decision for allotting 592 acres Land to Hero Motors.
The Chief Secretary said that the possession of land is already with APIIC. Two wheelers and spare parts will be manufactured in the plant by Hero Moto Corp., direct and indirect employment around 15000 persons.
Spl. Representative of AP at New Delhi Kambampati Ramamohana Rao, APIIC Chairman P. Krishnaiah, Industries Secretary S.S. Rawat, Chttoor Dist. Collector Siddarth Jain and Hero Motors representatives attended the meeting.
