Ministers differ on Regularisation of Workers Hyderabad, March 24 (INN): Finance Minister Eatala Rajender made it clear that there is no proposal with the State Government to regularise the services of Outsourced Employees.
Replying to a question raised by Congress MLA G Chinna Reddy and others during Question Hour in Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, the Finance Minister informed that a Committee of Officers has been constituted to formulate the guidelines to consider the cases of eligible and deserving contract employees who have been serving the government for a long time.
However, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy differed on this and while intervening on the issue, he claimed that the TRS never promised to regularise the services of contract workers. However, he said that the TRS had only promise to consider their demand for regularisation.
In an immediate reaction, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao tried to give a balancing statement by stating that the TRS Government was firm on its promise of regularising contract employees although it would need some more time to fulfill the promise.
