Telangana CS seeks report on alternate alignments Hyderabad, March 24 (INN): Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma has directed the L&T MHRL officials to submit a feasibility report on alternate alignments at three locations of Hyderabad Metro Rail Corridors.
During the review meeting of Special Task Force (STF) on the progress of Metro Rail works held on Tuesday, the Chief Secretary asked the officials to submit the feasibility report on alternate alignments along with financial implications at the earliest.
The Chief Secretary also reviewed the status of acquisition of 251 properties, which includes 192 private and 59 Government Vested Municipal properties (GVM). HMR Managing Director NVS Reddy informed that 29 properties were dismantled since the last meeting of STF. He also informed that for 124 properties, acquisition process has been completed and are at cheque stage. Rajiv Sharma directed GHMC Commissioner & Special Officer Somesh Kumar, Collector Hyderabad Nirmala and Collector RR District Raghunandan Rao to expedite the cheque disbursements to take over the properties at the earliest.
Rajiv Sharma directed the Land Acquisition Officers to bring to his notice cases where acquisitions are held up due to legal hurdles, to enable him to discuss with Advocate General, Telangana State for taking up the matter in courts, for an early disposal of the cases.
Secretary Home B. Venkatesham presented the Security Plan for Hyderabad Metro Rail showing the responsibilities to be shared by the State Government and the Concessionaire. The Chief Secretary directed L&TMRHL CEO & MD VB Gadgil to study the security plan prepared by the three member committee consisting of HMR MD and Police Commissioners of Hyderabad and Cyberabad and submit a report.

Commissioner of Police (Traffic).Jitendar; DCP Traffic (Cyberabad) Avinash Mohanty; senior officials and engineers from HMR and L&T MRHL have participated in the meeting.
