MBT demands ban on Yogi Adityanath's entry Hyderabad, March 24: The Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) has demanded ban on the entry of controversial MP Yogi Adityanath into Telangana.
MBT leader Amjed Ullah Khan has urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to direct the police authorities not to give permission for Shobha Yatra being planned on the occasion of Ram Navami on 28th March. He said Yogi Adityanath has been invited to address the rally and it might create communal tension in the city.
"Yogi Adityanath is notorious for delivering hate speeches. He is facing charges of inciting communal tension in Gorakhpur. He has also delivered provocative speeches against the Muslim community on several occasions in different parts of the country. In view of his notorious background, his visit to the city and proposed speech in Vishal Shobha Yatra on the occasion of Ram Navami in the city, should be banned as it might trigger communal tension and disturb law and order situation," said Amjed Ullah Khan in his letter to Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy.
Amjed Ullah Khan recalled that there have been instances of communal violence in the past on the occasion of Ram Navami rally and therefore, steps should be taken to prevent recurrence of such incidents. He warned of strong protest if the City Police permits Yogi Adityanath's rally in the city.
