Telangana Assembly passes Appropriation Bill The Appropriation Bill, introduced by Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, was passed through voice vote by Speaker S Madhusudan Chary. The main opposition party, Congress staged a walk-out while other parties, barring MIM, opposed the Bill describing the budget allocations as impractical. Both Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy did not participate in the debate on the Appropriation Bill.
MLA and TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy led the debate on behalf of Congress party. MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, BJP MLA G Kishan Reddy, CPI MLA R Ravinder Kumar, CPI-M legislator Sunnam Rajaiah and others participated in the debate on Appropriation Bill. Except Akbaruddin Owaisi, MLAs of other opposition parties criticised the State Government for its failure to implement the promises.
The Speaker adjourned the House after the Appropriation Bill was passed.
