Venkaiah takes up case of missing mountaineer Hyderabad, April 2 (INN): Union Minister for Urban Develoopment M Venkaiah Naidu has taken note of the missing incident of ace mountaineer, Malli Mastan Babu of Nellore.
Naidu has taken up the matter with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. He wrote a letter to External Affairs Minister three days back and has been enquiring about the progress from time to time. Swaraj informed him that she had already instructed Embassy officials in Argentina to take necessary steps to find out whereabouts and well being of Mastan Babu.
Naidu again spoke to Swaraj today and requested her to direct the Embassy officials to expedite search operations by Helicopter at the expenses Indian embassies of Argentina and Chili.
According to Embassy officials, they have got no information about Mastan Babu. Naidu also spoke to Dr Dorasanamma, sister of Sri Mastan Babu and conveyed to her the efforts being made to find out the whereabouts of Rao. Both the Ministers assured that the all necessary steps would be taken. Dr Dorasanamma thanked the Minister for his kind gesture.
