AP Health Minister Kamineni Inaugurated Indradhanush Kurnool, April 7: Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas appealed to the public to participate in Indradhanush week long Immunization prgaramme launched by the Union Government on Tuesday at Kurnool.
As a part of Nation Wide programme, Indradhanush was launched in five districts in Andhra Pradesh ie. , Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Kurnool districts.
Health Minister K. Srinivas lighting the lamp to mark the occasion in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister sri K.E.Krishna Murthy in Kurnool, expressed his desire to make the success of the programme. Mr. Krishna Murthy exhorted the need of the hour to reduce the IMR and MMR Rates in the state.
Sri.L.V.Subrahmanyam, Special chief secretary, Health and family welfare explained the concept of the programme. Sri Lav Agarwal , commissioner family welfare, Mrs. Arunkumari Director public health and collector sri Vijaya mohan also participated in the function.
In Andhra Pradesh, in five districts namely Visakhapatnam(25,457), East Godavari(33,028), Krishna(40,817), Guntur(30,824) and Kurnool(27,898) districts will administered the immunization to the children in this week
long programme.
