GHMC presses special teams to handle devastation The Central Emergency Squad of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has removed the fallen trees, electrical poles and water stagnation points at various bus shelters, from time to time, without obstructing the traffic at various places in the GHMC limits.
On late Sunday night, GHMC Commissioner & Special Officer Somesh Kumar personally monitored with all the Deputy Municipal Commissioners / Zonal Commissioner / Executive Engineers of various zones, nearly 68 water logging points in the Central Zone which were cleared by the Central Emergency team. One bus shelter at Barkatpura near Raghavendra Swamy temple collapsed on the road and the emergency squad immediately cleared the debris.
The Commissioner informed that some of the electrical poles fell down due to heavy down pour and wind and the same have been removed by the emergency team. Some of the trees at NTR Marg near Lumbini Park have also been cleared while the water logging point at Alkapuri near Adarshnagar, Road No.1 has been cleared with the help of the motors for the convenience of the citizens.
