USIBC delegation meets KTR Hyderabad, April 20 (INN): A US-India Business Council (USIBC) led by executive vice-president Diane Farrell met Information Technology Minister K Tarakarama Rao at the State Secretariat on Monday.
During the meeting, the USIBC expressed their interest to invest in newly formed Telangana state especially in pharmaceutical and healthcare sector apart of IT and infrastructure fields. USIBC team has appreciated Telangana state government's initiatives for the industry in last ten months.
KTR has explained the government's plans for the growth of existing industry and vision for the new investments in the state. He explained the USIBC about state's efficient and innovative industrial policy especially made a reference to Right to Clearance under the historic TSiPASS single window clearance system where any investor can get all clearances in a stipulated time of 15 days. He also explained the merits of Hyderabad city for investments into various sectors. 'Telangana government's thrust areas would be aerospace, pharma fields apart of ITEC industry and the government is keen on to making the state a world class investment destination,' he said.
The Minister also explained about a few initiatives by the government of Telangana in IT industry like T-hub, game city and TASK. 'With our efforts Telangana will be the new hub for aerospace investments and capital for the startups in India,' KTR said. USIBC's Diane Farrell informed the Minister that the USIBC is looking forward for the long-term association with Telangna state.
