Industries Dept should play key role in growth: IYR Hyderabad, April 20 (INN): 'Industries Department is playing a lead role in the growth of Andhra Pradesh State and a ratio has been taken at the investment of Rs 1 Crore each, five persons will get employment in the sunrise State of Andhra Pradesh,' Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao said.
The Chief Secretary held a meeting on Monday to review on the double digit growth of Industries Department. Spl. Chief Secretary Planning S.P. Tucker has briefed in detail through power point presentation on the growth of Technology development, development of clusters in tiny sector, incentives for industries promotion, automation and modernization of Industries Department.
It has been proposed to conduct Intensive Industrial campaigns and entrepreneurship development programmes in every Revenue Division, registration of MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), allotment of scarce raw materials, clearances, incentives and monitoring to be made online, Conducting District Industrial Promotion Committee (DIPC) meetings every month and District Consultative Committee Meetings involving line Departments every quarter and Provision of Budget of for incentives (Investment subsidy, sales tax, stamp duty, Power cost reimbursement, Pavala vaddi) to General Category entrepreneurs are the specific impetus as ease of doing business.
Industrial Development Policy, Textile Policy, Biotechnology Policy, Automobile and Auto Components Policy, Single Desk Policy, Aerospace and Defence Policy, Food Processing Policy and MSME Policy are created as bouquet of polices. Implementing of web based project tracker to ensure stage wise tracking of all potential investments and strengthening Sunrise Andhra Pradesh by recruiting Sector Heads to develop in-house expertise are the strategies to attract investments.
Proposed financial and physical targets to get double digit growth and action plan for utilization of budget for the financial year 2015-16 has been discussed in the meeting. Project a strong combination of visionary leadership, availability of 24 hours power, allotting land, will helps the Department, for ease of doing business, Chief Secretary opined.
Industries Department Secretary S.S. Rawat, Commissioner Kartikeya Misra and other officials were attended the meeting.
