MIM emerges as second largest party in Aurangabad Hyderabad, April 23 (INN): The All Indian Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen has emerged as the second largest party in Aurangabad Municipal Corporation elections whose results were declared on Thursday.
Of 113 total seats, the MIM fielded its candidates on 53 divisions and won 26 seats. However, the Shivsena-BJP combine has swept the polls by winning 58 seats. With 26 seats MIM stood second while the Congress party was pushed down to third position with just 10 seats. While the NCP won three seats, other candidates have won 19 seats.
The MIM candidates who won the elections are: Asif Patel (Vankeda Nagar); Zameer Ahmed Quari (Arif Colony); Syed Mateen (Jai Bhas Nagar); Shakeela Begum (Buddilone); Tasneem Begum Rauf (Lotha ka Ranja); Saira Banu Ajmal Khan (Cheli pura); Saravata Fatima (Shah Bazar); Nasir Uddin Siddiqui (Dinesh Colony); Nargis Anjum Saleem (Nehru Nagar); Jahangir Khan (Shahtabdi Nagar); Sangita Subhash Ungle (Aarti Nagar); Haji Irshad Khan (Rahmaniya Colony); Naseem Be (Karar kuda); Sajida Anjum Ansari (Roshan Gate); Feroz Khan (Nawab Pura); Gangadhar Dhega (Bhakul Gate); Nasreen Begum (Kotwal pura); Vikas Yatke (Khidkeshwar); Sameena Ilyas Khan (Sanjay Nagar); Asma Firdous (Bari Colony); Zaffer (Bhai ji Pura); Mohd Ayub Jagirdar (Altamash Colony); Abdul Raheem Haneef (Pushkar Colony); Sarita Ardun Borde (Konkan Wadi); Madan Nakarje (Eknath Nagar) and Saleema Babu Kasni (Priyadarshini Nagar).
