KCR re-elected as TRS President for 8th term Hyderabad, April 24 (INN): Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been unanimously re-elected as the president of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) for the eighth consecutive term.
KCR's was declared elected unopposed at the TRS plenary at LB Stadium here on Friday amid loud cheers by thousands of party workers. Making the announcement, TRS Chief Returning Office and Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy said six set of nominations papers were filed on behalf of KCR and therefore, he has been elected unopposed.
KCR, who floated TRS on April 27, 2001, has been heading the party since its inception. This is his first election as TRS President after becoming the Chief Minister
