Hold GHMC polls by Dec 15: HC
The Hyderabad High Court on Monday directed the Telangana Government to complete the process of elections for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) by December 15.
Rejection the State Government's request seeking more time to hold GHMC polls, the High Court said that it was improper to run the corporation under a Special Officer instead of an elected body. The HC directed that the delimitation of wards and reservation should be completed before October 31 and elections process should be over in the next one-and-a-half month.
