Rahul Gandhi's first tweet is about Telangana

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has been reluctant to join social media, particularly Twitter. However, in signs of change, his office opened a Twitter account on Tuesday night.After a lot of dilly dallying, the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has joined the Twitter bandwagon.According to reports, the leader joined the micro blogging site on Wednesday and his handle is called @OfficeofRG. His Twitter account got over 26.5K followers till 2.45 PM on Thursday.
Rahul Gandhi's first tweet was about his upcoming Padyatra in Telangana. Rahul states that his Padayatar will kick start in Telangana on May 12 traveling a distance of 15km in Adilabad district covering five villages starting from Wadial village. He also confirmed through another tweet that the account will share information related to Rahul Gandhi's official programs and upcoming events.

Rahul has been very aggressive in the last few days taking on a host of issues like Land Acquisition Bill, Real Estate Bill among others. So we need to see how effectively he will utilize the social media to corner ruling party.'
