Canada team visits AP CS Hyderabad, May 7 (INN): An advance team of Ontario, Canada met Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao at the AP Secretariat here on Thursday.
The team has interacted with the Chief Secretary, Prl. Secretary TR&B B. Sam Bob and Prl. Secretary Environment and Forests A.K. Parida. The focus for proposed business delegation led by Prime Minister of Ontario, later in the year would comprise of companies and institutions active in the sustainable development sector including the subsectors of urban infrastructure, clean technology, smart grid technology, transportation and environmental protection were discussed.
Long term mitigation measures of natural calamities, regional-wise developmental activities in the Andhra Pradesh, developing measures of ports in coastal line in the State has briefed by the Chief Secretary.
The delegation of the Cabinet Office, Ministry of Inter-Governmental Affairs Toronto, Canada Leslie Merchant, Director, International Relations and Deputy Chief of Protocol, Ranissah Samah, Senior Policy Advisor, Jens-Michael Schaal, Counsellor (Commercial), Vikram Jain, Trade Commissioner participated in the visit.
