Rahul Gandhi's Telangana tour postponed Hyderabad, May 8 (INN): In view of extension of Parliament session, AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi's tour of Telangana State has been postponed.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has informed that the instead of 11th and 12th May, Rahul Gandhi will now conduct the Rythu Bharosa Padyatra on 14th and 15th May. Except for dates, there will be no change in the programme schedule, he said.
"Rahul Gandhi's presence in the Parliament is required in view of debate on Land Acquisition Bill in the House. Therefore, his office has intimated us about the postponement of his tour to 14th and 15th May," Uttam Kumar Reddy said.
Meanwhile, accompanied with Leader of Opposition in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and other leaders, Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday visited Nizamabad and Adilabad districts to review the arrangements for Rahul Gandhi's visit.
