RTC strike to continue as talks fails Hyderabad, May 8 (INN): The ongoing strike by the employees of Road Transport Corporation is likely to continue for some more time following failure of talks held between the striking workers and management on Friday evening.
The representatives of Telangana Mazdoor Union participated in the talks. However, RTC Managing Director N Sambasvia Rao left the meeting midway. Speaking to media persons later, the RTC union leaders advised Rao to change his attitude and threatened to lodge a complaint against him. They also demanded withdrawal of cases being registered against the employees during the strike period.
However, Rao claimed that the real issues related to strike were not even discussed in the meeting. He said 27% fitment for Andhra Pradesh employees has been announced while a decision is yet to be taken with regard to RTC employees of Telangana State. He also clarified that the management did not asks police to cane charge the striking workers.
