CITU asks Harish to clarify stand
CITU State General Secretary Sai Baba on Sunday demanded that Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao clarify his stand on the ongoing strike by the RTC employees demanding 43 per cent fitment allowance.
Speaking to media persons at Sundarayya Bhavan in Sangareddy here, Sai Baba informed that Harish Rao is the Honorary President of Telangana Mazdoor Union, which is participating in the RTC strike. Therefore, Harish Rao should clarify whether he was supporting the striking workers of the State Government, he asked.
The CITU leader said that the minister maintained silence despite the strike entering fifth day on Sunday. While in opposition, Harish Rao spoke in favour of workers. But after becoming minister, he is reluctant to even hold negotiations with the union leaders, he alleged.
