PM will lay foundation for Amaravati: Naidu Hyderabad, May 15 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be invited to lay the foundation stone for State's new capital city Amravati.
Speaking after reviewing the works relating to Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Project at Eluru here on Friday, Naidu said that the process of land acquisition for the new capital was on and all norms were being followed to acquire agriculture land for the sake of new capital. He said that the date for foundation stone laying ceremony of new capital would be finalised soon and the Prime Minister would be invited for the same.
Naidu also assured that Andhra Pradesh would soon be turned into a drought-free zone. He also expressed confidence that the Polavaram Project too would be completed in the next four years. He announced that the Marine University would be established in Bheemavaram town.
