DCIL officials meet AP CS over extraction of sand Hyderabad, May 16 (INN): The officials of Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) met Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao on Saturday and discussed the extraction of sand and increasing the storage capacities of the barrages.
Bestowed with a coastline of over 900 km, Andhra Pradesh hosts some of the largest and richest coastline placers. The DCIL is a pioneer organization in the field of dredging and maritime development and fully equipped to offer the complete range of dredging and allied services and to provide vital inputs for the development. The services which provided by the DCIL has been briefed by the officials.
The Chief Secretary has suggested the officers concerned to inspect the sites where the extraction of sand and dredging is required on the Coastal Lines including rivers, with the local officers of Mines and Geology and Irrigation Departments.
Prl. Secretary Water Resources Department Aditya N Das, CEO SERP S. Solomon Arokiaraj, Mines and Geology Director B.R.V. Susheel Kumar, DCIL CMD Rajesh Tripathi and others attended the meeting.
