Digitise health profiles of people in AP: CM Hyderabad, May 18: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu set a three-year deadline to transform the state as Aarogya-Andhra Pradesh. In a workshop on Aarogya Andhra at Camp Office on Monday, he emphasized on creating a digital health profile to every citizen in order to provide better medical facilities.
He also stressed on eliminating poverty and creating a healthy and happy society for all. To achieve this, he sought active co-operation from doctors, officials and corporate sector to create AP as medical hub and boost medical tourism in the state.
Similar to the use of technology in Aadhar linking and pension, the Chief Minister stressed on implementing the same for providing better medical facilities. In this context, he reminded that more than 100 ailments are being treated under NTR Vaidya Seva. He added over details of 40 lakh kids below 5 years has been computerized. 'Making IMR, MMR and other healthcare services affordable is our aim,' he added.
Studying the inputs from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and TCS, the Chief Minister emphasized on making world's best medical facilities available in the state.
Union Minister Sri Y.S. Sujana Choudhary who has been appointed as the convener to monitor the activities of Aarogya-Andhra Pradesh added that the medical colleges and hospitals must opt for CSR and other alternatives instead of depending on the government for funds. 'Every person holding a medical degree must serve in the rural areas,' he added.

Ltd, Sri Alok Sonig Senior Vice-President Reddy's Laboratories Ltd, Sri Krishnamurthy Vijayan Managing Director of Charioteer and other medical experts made presentations on developing Andhra Pradesh as a medical hub.
Health Minister Sri Kamineni Srinivas, Special Chief Secretary, Medical and health department L.V. Subramanyam, Principal Secretary (Primary Health), Health Medical & Family Welfare Department Ms. Poonam Malakondaih, Secretary to CM Sri Sai Prasad, APIIC Chairman Sri P. Krishnaih and other officials were present at the meeting.
