AP CS Review on various issues Hyderabad, May 18: To start religious and cultural tourism in Andhra Pradesh, the State Government is obviously keen to take the opportunity conducting Godavari Pushkaram-2015 event, by attracting more number of pilgrims from all over the nation and ' the event should be celebrated in a traditional fervor by the revelers, Chief Secretary said.
I.Y.R. Krishna Rao Chief Secretary chaired a meeting with all the Secretaries, Head of the Departments and through Video Conference with the District Collectors today, to review on various issues viz., Godavari Pushkara Shobha Yaatra, acquisition of lands for Railways and National High Way Roads, Night Shelters, Drinking Water etc.,.
'Tourists flocking to Godavari Pushkarams shall enjoy the event spots would be a Plastic-Free Zone'. Chief Secretary suggested the Officers concerned again and again to spread awareness on prevention on plastic pollution and encourage steps to be taken to reduce impact on the environment.
Chief Secretary has issued instructions to run a focused massive publicity campaign to attract and to make the people to participate with revel in the Godavari Pushkaram-2015 and also told to the Officers to ensure facilities viz., roads, renovating of temples, providing of food, water, shelters, medical and other traditional related facilities near the Pushkar Ghats located in twin (East ' West Godavari) Districts, for the convenience of pilgrims. No plastic material would be allowed and the surrounding places on Godavari Base would be promoted as an eco-tourism, Chief Secretary added.
The Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) proposing to conduct Rural and Traditional Competitions in 12 Mandals of East Godavari and 10 Mandals of West Godavari Districts on the bank of Godavari River covering 12 Disciplines for both Boys and Girls and also Men and Women.
United Andhra Pradesh has divided and it has completed one year. On this eve the State Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to conduct programmes on the way of passion and emotion by mobilizing the public entire the State between June 2 to 8. Advisor Communications Dr. Parakala Prabhakar has attended the video conference and emphasized it.
Advisor Communications of A.P. has interacted with all the District Collectors to brief about the programmes being organized by the State Government. The programmes will be conducted in three phases ' On 2nd June Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu held a programme to Build a State in new manner ' 'Nava Nirmana Deeksha' throughout the State to take an oath with the public on the day. From 3rd to 7th June the programmes will be on Government Campaigns viz., Polam Pilustondi, Badi Pilustondi, Pedarikampai Gelupu, Swachch Andhra Pradesh etc.,. Cheques will be distributed to the Dwacra Group Women towards capital infusion during these programmes.
On 8th June a public meeting will be arranged at Guntur District Kaja Gram Panchayat and the Chief Minister will participate and speak on the progress of One year growth of the State. Public from all over the State may view this programme through audio video visuals.
Chief Secretary has suggested a massive campaign may be made to involve large number of people. Gear up for taking up more projects on PPP basis by the State Government it is highly essential to acquire land for Railways, National Highways and Roads to be connected to Railway lines, Ports and Airports in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Secretary emphasized.
Chief Secretary has fixed a time line to complete the Railway Line between Nadikudi ' Srikalahasthi within three years and assured that the Government of Andhra Pradesh will mobilize all the resources for completion of the Project and also issued instructions to the Collectors of Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore district for taking of advance possession of land for the Railway Line.
Chief Secretary has also reviewed on the progress of Night Shelters, Neeru-Chettu, Procurement issues, Stray Dog Menace, empowering Collectors to resume lands, Drinking water system etc., in the meeting. Senior IAS Officers and HoDs attended the meeting.
