MIM asks KCR to hasten encounter probe MIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday asked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to hasten probe into the killing of five under-trails on April 7 at Alair in an alleged encounter by the police.
Making representation to the Chief Minister during his visit to the Old City as part of 'Swachh Hyderabad' programme, Asaduddin Owaisi also demanded that action should be taken against the policemen, if found guilty. He also urged the Chief Minister to increase security in jail for three accomplices of Viqaruddin, who was killed in Alair encounter.
The MIM chief also brought to the notice of the Chief Minister that several Muslim youth were lodged in different jails across the State on various charges. He appealed to him to speed up the trail and free the innocent youth. He requested him not to shift any of these under-trials to Warangal prison.
KCR assured that he would conduct a review meeting with Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and officials concerned on this issue.
