Hitachi delegation calls on KCR Hyderabad, May 23 (INN): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao told a team of Hitachi delegation that any investor would be very happy to start an industry in and around Hyderabad.
KCR also mentioned that the State Government unveiled the new industrial policy framework by bringing legislation and would be formally launching it soon. Ananthanarayanan CEO & Managing Director, Hitachi Solutions India, Mike Gillis President and Global Chief Operating Officer, Hitachi Solutions America, Gary Peterson Executive Vice-President Hitachi and others called on the Chief Minister this afternoon at his camp office.
The Hitachi team expressed its willingness to partner with Telangana Government in the areas of Smart City Solutions wherein KCR and general public can interact with each other, Smart Card Solutions, Health care in partnership with Microsoft and in education. CEO and MD Hitachi told the Chief Minister that they already have their presence in Telangana since 2013 and would like to start their second operations in Hyderabad from August 2015. He has also requested the Chief Minister to inaugurate the operations. He said Hitachi is very keen to offer their global solutions to make Hyderabad smarter city.
KCR evinced keen interest in their solutions of a multiple smart card system and suggested to them to explore the possibilities of introducing the card in the state. He said in addition to Hyderabad other big towns like Warangal, Khammam and Karimnagar also could be considered for their solutions. He also suggested the Hitachi team to explore the possibilities of establishing some heavy machinery plant in Telangana by them.
Finance Minister Etela Rajender, Principal Secretary to CM Shanta Kumari, Secretary Industries Aravinda Kumar and HMDA VC & MD Shalini Mishra were present in the meeting.
